Class Evaluation (6/05/18)

Class Evaluation
1.) Somethings that I liked about this class is learning the basic in making an online website. HTML and CSS are fundalmental in the creation of websites. I've learned how to use these code formats to make a basic website.

2.) I did not like how we missed out on a lot of different aspects of computer science. It took us a while to actually start coding. Wish we started earlier to learn more.

3.) We should do more computer science oriented activities in the class.

4.) I do not read my life planning journal every day but every once in a while. Usually I do not read it because I forget, otherwise it would be filled with more goals in mind.

5.) Yes, I'm planning on staying a ctr person for the rest of my life. It seems to be the best option and is benefitial in the long-run. Being a good person always has its merits.

6.)  I plan to teach  fellow students the basics of HTML and CSS if they ever need help. These are important to the creation of websites.

7.) I will remember the things I've learned in this class and the new friends I made in my time being hear. I will miss being here and hope for the best for the next class.

Leah LaBelle
-To be strong and have determination is to fight. Fight does not have to be physical but also mental and/or spiritual. Its having the guts to stand up for yourself. 10 Keys to Personal Power

10 Keys to Personal Power
Brian Tracy
   1st Key: Clarity
“They think that intelligence is about noticing things are relevant (detecting patterns); in a complex world, intelligence consists in ignoring things that are irrelevant (avoiding false patterns)"
Nassim Nicholas Taleb
― -Clarity is an essential part of  unlocking your potential. Clarity allows us to speak and think clearly, making us more efficient. This also helps us with decisions and choices which can prevents lapses of  our judgement, making our actions more justified. This is what make your actions more transparent.

   2nd Key: Competence
“Pride in office without competence is as much a sin as competence without confidence.”
Peter Tremayne, Shroud for the Archbishop

-Another important key to being a better person the efficiency and success fullness of our actions or competence. This is measured by the work and effort we put in and the results created by do them. Competence is have the skill and confidence to accomplish tasks with great, successful results. It is difficult to achieve this key but none the less still possible. Competence is a vital key to have.

  3rd Key: Concentration
"Concentration and mental toughness are the margins of victory"
Bill Russell
-Concentration is the base of personal power. Without focus, nothing can be done with us being distracted with miscellaneous objectives instead of focusing the objectives of importance. An example of this is posting something on social media instead of doing your homework even if homework is far more crucial than posting on social media.

    4th KeyCommon Sense
"Success is not a matter of mastering subtle, sophisticated theory but rather of embracing common sense with uncommon levels of discipline and persistence."
    Patrick Lencioni
    - Having common sense tells us a lot about a person. People who have common sense typically are the smartest among us or just average people considering if you take the term literally. Common sense is having practical judgement used for obvious reasons. It takes someone with wisdom and experience to utilize it in the best of situations. Often times it is quite useful for basic actions and helps with making the right and smarter choices. Overall, common sense is a need to become the best.

    5th Key:Creativity

    6th Key: Consideration
"Sometimes when I consider what tremendous consequences come from little things, I am tempted to think there are no little things." Bruce Barton
-Consideration is an important key into become a better person in general. This accounts you taking everything into consideration which let's you make the right choice more often. Its not only the things you do that you consider but also the things you do for others. You'll gradually start caring for others, making yourself aware of your actions and what it can do to others. In general, consideration

    7th Key: Consistency
"Success isn't always about greatness. It's about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come."
    Dwayne Johnson
-Having consistency means to always consistent with good qualities such as work hard or helping a friend. To remain consistent is to keep doing these acts no matter what the circumstances. It is difficult to stay consistent at times but that endurance is what improves you as a person. It will lead you to a path of success. This is what it means to have consistency.

    9th Key: Courage
"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Walt Disney
-Courage is a rare characteristic that a handful of people have. This is what drives people to take a risks whether they fail or succeed. To obtain courage is to have massive amounts of confidence in yourself and you abilities. Many people do not have to characteristic and are afraid to make that jump to become successful and hide in the fear for failure. If you have the courage to make that risk, most likely you will succeed. You must being willing to failure in order to succeed.

    10th Key: Confidence
"Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence."
    Helen Keller
    -The last and final personal
power to achieve and gain is confidence. Confidence is the base of  all these personal powers. This is what drives you to go after what you want and need. No matter the odds, you will be optimistic about you abilities and efforts which is much more valuable than any other trait. This endurance is what many people are lacking and only a few have. If you can't believe in yourself, why try?

    Reflection
    - Overall, these keys will be very beneficial with becoming a better, stronger person. I'm sure that these principles will surely be of use in order to improve an individuals. Keys such as these are  attributes that are essential in our every day lives. Especially the lives of powerful and successful people. That is why people who are successful use these keys to get where they are now. If we use these keys, I'm sure we can become as successful as them one day.
I believe these keys will be of use to me and I plan on using each and every one of them in my everyday life. The key that impacted me the most is confidence. I underestimated confidence because I only saw it as a word. Until I saw Brian Tracy's speech about confidence, I realized that there was more to confidence that it just being a word but also a key to success. I plan to build up my confidence by also building the other keys. The other keys are important but I see confidence as the most important.

Exploring Computer Science End of the Semester Evaluation(12/14/17)

Exploring Computer Science End of the Semester Evaluation
1.) This class was plenty of fun this semester. Some things I've enjoyed in this class is working on scratch and hour of code, learning a whole need aspect of coding. This really is giving me some thought to major in computer science or coding. 2.) Unfortunately, there somethings I did dislike about the class. An example is the First Block Flashcards where we wrote flashcards based on our first period class. There was simply not enough time to finish a hundred flash card in a week while working on finals from other classes. 3.) What I recommend for next year's class is that we do more computer science oriented activities instead of E-port posts nor the flashcards. They're not bad but I feel that it's better to work on computer science for the majority of the time and hence the name of the class is computer science. 4.) A highlight from this class I might say is when we started using hour of code. This really exposes us students to coding whether it was making shapes or people, we used code to do so. I also liked doing the Life Planning Journals which lets me keep track of all the goals I have for myself. 5.) This class was very fun and amusing but I don't think I used the best of my abilities for this class. Otherwise, I would have a "A" than a "B". Next semester will be the where I use the best of my ability for this class and others. 6.) To accomplish this goal, I will start using my Life Planning Journal to keep track of this goal. Lately I haven't been using much but I felt an urge to do so. 7.) With this, I also commit to being a CTR person. This will help me do my assignments better with the best of my ability.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People(11/03/17)

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
    Habit 1: Be Proactive
"The proactive approach to a mistake is to acknowledge it instantly, correct and learn from it."-Stephen Covey
-Proactive is the act doing something whether its to prevent something from happening or to change the course of action. By being proactive, you can always be one step ahead of any situation that comes in your way. This is the polar opposite of reactive which makes you act after a situation occurs. Whether it's bad or good, you'll be prepared for it if you're proactive. This lets you think over situations better and more clearly since you wouldn't be stressed about getting prepared. It also gives you a peace of mind and lets you worry less about any future problems in the future. Its always better being prepared, that's why being proactive is the best way to go.

Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind

"Control your own destiny or someone else will." -Jack Welch
-Begin something will always require an end. Anything with a beginning always has an end. This is fundamental in creating goals. If you have a goal with no plan, all it will be is a wish. Just wishing won't do anything but taking action does. Before you begin something, always think over it more times over, otherwise it can be something you regret later on. On top of that, you need to know if you're able to plan out your goal so it can be successful.

Habit 3: Put First Things First
“Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least.”  -Goethe
-In order to accomplish your goal as effectively as it can be, you need to prioritize them. Focus on the goals that matter first. This can be used any other situation. Instead of going home and resting after school, start on your homework first, then rest afterwards. This spares any future worries and your rest will be better deserved. I promise that this will help your work schedule dearly, also will enhance your organization skills greatly. You'll get more things done this way.

    Habit 4: Think Win-Win

"Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence." -Helen Keller
-To think win-win means to think with an optimistic point of view. To think optimistically means to think with a positive insight; always looking at the bright side of things. This is an effective tool to be used as a motivator to do great things. It makes the person think straight and clearly filling them with confidence unrivaled by anyone. Unfortunately, it is difficult for some people to obtain this attitude. Being pessimistic, or thinking negatively does opposite. It provides no confidence and doubt to the person which has negative effects towards work habits and behaviors. With doubt, you won't be able to accomplish your goals. That's why thinking win-win will allow you to focus on winning than losing.

    Habit 6:  Synergize
"The whole is greater than the sum of its parts" -Aristotle
    - Have you ever done a project or a task that was difficult to do all by yourself? Most of us have, you probably would have to agree that doing tasks or projects are harder when doing it alone. I'm sure you heard of the quote "Two heads are better than one" plenty of times but you have no idea how true this is. To synergize is to cooperate with others which vastly increases the the productivity and efficiency of your efforts. This makes it easier to accomplish tough tasks that one person wouldn't be able to do. Besides, a little help wouldn't hurt will it?

    Habit 7:  Sharpen the Saw

    - What does it mean to Sharpen the Saw? This analogy is created at defining who an effective person is. It compares to a saw that is at work and is often sharpened to work at is best with people who improve themselves while also caring for them selves. The saw is compared to us whereas sharpening it is compared to us improving and always staying at our best. We always need to keep ourselves in shape otherwise it will be difficult to continue on with our present states. Don't forget to let your body rest, otherwise our bodies will eventually shut down and take a rest it's self.

    Class Evaluation (6/05/18)

Class Evaluation 1.) Somethings that I liked about this class is learning the basic in making an online website. HTML and CSS are fundal...
